Body Safety Class

Body Safety Class

During the month of April, Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Child Advocacy Center along with S.O.A.R. (Strengths in Overcoming Adversities through Resilience) Community Coalition, is providing an opportunity for children in the Cumberland County, Ft. Bragg, Pope Field and all DODEA schools to be a part of a body safety class.

We have hosted a story time for childcare centers oldest preschoolers to learn how to respond to safe body touch. As part of this initiative, we have traditionally organized storytime sessions for preschoolers, teaching them how to recognize and respond to safe body touch.

This year, we’re excited to offer a training session for your staff, equipping them to lead this important body safety class for young children. The lesson focuses on five key Safety Rules designed to help preschoolers understand and apply the concepts:

  • Know What’s Up
  • Spot Red Flags
  • Make a Move
  • Talk it Up
  • No Blame | No Shame

Our materials are designed to be simple, ensuring that preschoolers can easily grasp and remember these important safety rules.
